Meaningful Activity for Meaningful Days

Happy Monday, Friends!

We have a question for you today:

How much of your day is filled with meaningful activity?

Most of your day? Only during your work? Only on certain days or when you are with certain people? None of it?

Meaningful activity is essential for your emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical health and must:

  • Bring you joy

  • Connect you with others

  • Acknowledge your effort

  • Contribute to your and others’ well-being

So, what do you do if your day does not have as much meaningful activity as you would like?

You CHOOSE to make changes and new decisions about how you are spending your precious time!

Understanding that these are tough economic times for many of us, if you do not have meaningful employment and are not able to change that right now, you CAN choose to make sure the other areas of your life have meaning:

  • Are you nurturing your relationships so your daily interactions go beyond the superficial?

  • Are you letting go of – or working to mend – your relationships where contention and stress have been the norm?

  • Are you giving your creativity an outlet that is both satisfying and filled with ease?

  • Do you honor your own worth and share yourself fully with those close to you?

  • Do you spend your free time connecting with others – or satisfying your own need for autonomy?

  • Do you have a community of friends who can support you when you need it?

If you have found yourself struggling during this most challenging year, bringing more meaning into your life will undoubtedly help you to experience more joy and find peace.

Lots of love to you,
Annette and Ada
