There Will Never Be Another Moment Like This One

Yesterday was Book Club Sunday for us - and it truly was a beautiful day! As we waited for our book club participants to arrive, we had our office door open to the lovely view outside. The trees are all changing color, the grass is still green at the park across the street, and there were so many families, couples, and friends out enjoying the day.

We stood in our doorway and took it all in!

That moment in our doorway is still with us today. It can be powerful to stop and soak in the beauty that is all around us, especially when life is stressful. 

If you haven’t stopped in a while, why not try it now? If you are at home, look around at your surroundings. What blessings do you see? Food, your loved ones, your sweet pup? If you are at work, pause for an instant and soak in the good – there has to be something good there, no matter where you work. Even if you work in a place where there is a great deal of sadness, there is probably someone there who is kind and compassionate and makes it all just a little bit easier.

No matter where we are, there IS beauty: In the place itself, in who we are with, or in what it shelters us from – even if the beauty isn’t always apparent at first glance.

Give yourself the joy of seeing the beauty in this moment because there will never be another moment exactly like this.
