Embracing Autumn

Yesterday, we spent time cleaning outside our beloved Yellow Room. As we washed the windows and got summer’s dirt and dust off the brick and our yellow door, we noticed an unmistakable change in the air. We commented to one another that we were starting to see summer’s vibrant greens beginning to mellow into autumn’s cozy colors, which we both love.

If you pay close attention to your relationships during this time of year, you will see that they feel the season’s touch as well.

Changing seasons mirror the ebbs and flows of our personal connections, providing a gentle reminder to reflect and adjust as we focus on introspection, communication, boundaries, and our routine.

Autumn, characterized by its shorter days and longer nights, encourages introspection. Just as the trees shed their leaves in a brilliant display of oranges, reds, and yellows, we can support ourselves by taking time to become aware of our habits and behaviors that no longer serve us.
