Development Digest - August 2024
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to lose touch with the present moment. We often find ourselves caught up in our daily activities and responsibilities, barely aware of the sights, sounds, and sensations around us. But what if there were some simple ways to ground ourselves and bring more awareness and joy into our lives?
Development Digest - July 2024
We received many comments from our clients and podcast listeners expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to learn about perception and how our daily intentions were helping them see their lives differently. Our clients who are not yet a part of our podcast community also asked us what it means to make a morning intention, so we thought it might be helpful to share our answer with all of you!

May was Personal Development Pioneer Month at the Academy for Personal Development, and what a transformative month it was for us, our clients, and our podcast community. On our podcast, we journeyed through the lives and teachings of some of the most influential figures in personal development, and it was both enlightening and inspiring.

Strategies for Holiday Stress
The best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones is a peaceful and joyful heart.
Give Yourself Some Credit
Here's something we want you to keep in mind - you're much more than your achievements or setbacks. You're a person with inherent worth, irrespective of what you've done or not done.
Teaching Others How to Treat Us
As life coaches, we've often observed a universal yet overlooked truth: the way we allow others to treat us plays a significant role in shaping our relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being.
Cultivating Daily Self-Compassion
A new practice that we have been encouraging our clients to implement in their lives is Daily Self-Compassion.
Caregiver Burnout
We have also been introduced more personally to the term “caregiver burnout.” We discussed burnout in a previous blog, but when we wrote that blog, the number of caregivers we had met was pretty limited. Caregiving can be stressful even if it only lasts a short while, and long-term caregiving stress and exhaustion need more attention and recognition.
Expressing Our Experience
To show up as our best selves, we must be able to EXPRESS OUR EXPERIENCE of life with someone else. Being truly seen, heard, and known is essential to happiness. This means that we must be able to honestly express our past hurt, our current pain, our joy, our concern, our frustration, our confusion, our love, and every other experience we encounter in our lives. We must have someone to see, hear, and know us – our true authentic us.
Befriending Ourselves
Today is Valentine’s Day – a day that some people thoroughly enjoy and also a day that brings sadness and depression to others. While there may be chocolate, cards, and special dinners, there might also be grief, disappointment, and a sense of deep loneliness.
